“Find Your Voice, Own Your Career” is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23.  Join us for a full day of sessions with compelling topics, workshops, and keynote speakers that relate to career enhancement for all corporate, small business, and entrepreneurial women pursuing a career in consumer electronics.

The Women in CE Forum is one of the best events where women in our industry can get together and learn about ways to be sharper around current business initiatives, learn from others about our current and potential future careers in the CE industry, and gain some of the best mentors that can help us along the way in that journey.

Program Highlights:

Opening Keynote – FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel

Jessica Rosenworcel was nominated for a seat on the Federal Communications Commission by President Barack Obama and on May 7, 2012 was confirmed unanimously by the United States Senate. She was sworn into office on May 11, 2012.

Fireside Chat – Confidence Trumps Competence

With Diane DiResta, Founder and CEO of DiResta Communications, Inc., a New York City consultancy serving business leaders who deliver high stakes communications, and Award-winning journalist Andrea Smith.

They will discuss if women get fewer opportunities than men.  It’s not what you know.  It’s how you convey what you know.  You may be sabotaging your own success without realizing it.  Women need to be aware of how they communicate differently from men and how to present a stronger, more powerful image at work and in the marketplace.  In this fireside chat, you will:

· Learn the language of success and how to weed out wimpy words

· Identify the negative messages that cause you to give away your power

· Confront the number one fear that robs you of visibility

· Convey confidence without saying a word

· Techniques to quickly access confidence

· Eliminate 10 ways women sabotage their communication and how to convey executive presence

Madeline Di Nonno, CEO of the Geena Davis Institue on Gender in Media, the only research based non-profit working with the entertainment and media community to improve gender diversity in children’s entertainment through cutting-edge research, education and advocacy programs, will be our guest closing Keynote speaker.

Sam Horn, author of “POP!”, introduces her new book “Got Your Attention?” that sends a bold message – being intrigued in others makes us intriguing to others.  Sam is back by popular demand and attendees will not only get a copy of “Got Your Attention?”, but Sam will be signing copies during the closing cocktail reception and book signing session.
