Enter technology on a completely different plane than ever before. \nOur panel today are telling their stories about the real challenges facing their clients and their creative solutions. Q&A to follow. \nPanel Moderator: \nDanielle Karr\, Architect & Designer Program Senior Manager at Control4

SUMMARY:Mavens Share the Power\, Lead With Style and Build Rock Stars
DESCRIPTION:Influential leadership is a philosophy that involves focusing on others by building better professional relationships that can benefit both the leader and the team member. Influential leadership means that individuals can be formal or informal leaders while boosting their employee’s confidence and furthering their success at the same time! \nIt’s a leader’s responsibility to guide their team on the right path. But to become a better leader\, it’s not enough just to take the wheel and steer – you must also be willing to serve your team and assist them in their own journey. An influential leader should have a desire to help their team members achieve their goals\, which includes taking the time to identify how they perform best or being beside them as they face challenges. Take the time to assist in their growth and help them work toward achieving their goals. When an individual uses this type of power\, it’s amazing what a team can do! \nMichelle Burke\, Founder and Maven Maker\, Bossibly\nMichelle is the Founder and Maven Maker of bossibly; she aides young professionals and business owners alike by coaching them to become influential leaders. Using a unique system\, she combines character strengths and core values to help them create a culture of engagement\, which fosters predictable results and accountability. \nView Event Website Here

SUMMARY:2016 ~ Career Enhancement Forum
DESCRIPTION:Women in Consumer Technology Forum: “Design Your Life: A Road-map to Success Amid Change” \nTuesday\, June 21\, 2016 \nCheck out the Survey Monkey Results Below! \n\nCE Week returns to NYC June 20-24\, 2016\, and Women in Consumer Technology’s exclusive fifth annual Forum 2016\, “Design Your Life: A Road-map to Success Amid Change”\, is scheduled for Tuesday\, June 21. This year’s Opening Keynote Speaker is The New York Times Bestseller author\, journalist\, and popular lecturer\, Gail Sheehy. In her 50 years as a writer she is the embodiment of this year’s Forum theme. She has interviewed thousands of women and men and written 17 books. From her 1976 book Passages\, named one of the ten most influential books of our times by a Library of Congress survey\, to her five other books on the passages theme revisit and illuminate the stages of adult life: New Passages\, Understanding Men’s Passages\, The Silent Passage (menopause)\, Sex and the Seasoned Women\, and Passages in Caregiving. And in 2014 she turned the lens on herself: she had to write a memoir about her own passages. The book is called DARING: My Passages. Sheehy hopes it inspires young women to dream big\, take risks\, outlive the early failures\, and build toward success with meaning and social purpose by midlife. Forum attendees will receive a copy of DARING and enjoy the opportunity for Ms. Sheehy to personally sign their copy. \n  \nOpening Keynote Sponsored by \n  \nBook Signing Sponsored by \nFeatured Workshop – Sam Horn \nSam Horn Returns with SerenDestiny® – Is the light on in your eyes?  As the creator of SerenDestiny®\, she’s interviewed hundreds of people about what it takes to create a life where the light is on in your eyes and has delivered her findings on this subject at TEDxNASA\, as well as has been speaking and blogging about it since 2010. SerenDestiny® is not something passive that is out of our control. We don’t have to sit around\, wait\, and hope it will happen. We can increase the likelihood of it happening. Like the state of flow\, we can’t force fortuitous encounters to show up\, but we can facilitate them showing up. And that’s what Sam will share\, stories of people who have set their SerenDestiny® in motion by aligning with congruent individuals\, activities and opportunities. \nSponsored by  \n \nBreak Out Sessions & Featured Workshops \n The Women in Consumer Technology Connect Circles Program \nDeena Ghazarian and Melissa Andresko bring to life the Connect Circle Program.
